Bass Auction for Bill Laymon Stanley is among several member of the Bass Brotherhood who are trying to help raise money for fellow bassist Bill Laymon formerly of The New Riders of the Purple Sage, and long time bass player for the David Nelson Band. Bill is fighting cancer and other some health issues and has no health insurance coverage. Stanley has joined other bassists, including Charlie Haden and Victor Wooten in signing a Modulus Vintage J Bass Guitar which is being auctioned to help raise funds for Bill's healthcare costs.
